We’ve had a super exciting last couple of weeks! Not to mention everything has been busy! As many of you know, we recently traveled to San Antonio, Texas for an International Conference with our missions agency World Indigenous Missions. We had an incredible time and made a lot of cool connections with people all over the world. We also got to see our friends Tim and Jenni Jarvis who we spent time with in Kenya last summer. Their two boys are so big compared to when we last saw them!
International Conference 2016!
For those of you who may be wondering what the week was about in Texas, here is a short summary. We typically had evening and morning sessions of worship and teaching. On Monday, the women had a special lunch where they were able to connect with other women and mom’s. The guys, well, they were on kid duty! Tuesday we spent some time at a water park called Schlitterbahn. Wednesday it was all business. We had breakout sessions to learn new skills, business meetings to clear up the not so fun stuff, and then a period of time where we learned about investing, wills, and power of attorney. It was all necessary and good, but it was a long day. Thursday consisted of a final morning session followed by lunch and some tearful goodbyes. We made a lot of new friends during the week, and now the challenge is staying connected as everyone went back to their homes around the world! We wanted to give you a more interesting taste of the trip as well, so our video this week is short segments of videos that we took compiled into one! We hope you enjoy!
What else have we been up to?
Well, this past weekend we hosted a few youth from Abundant Life Community Church for a weekend and it went really well! We were so excited to stretch them outside of their comfort zone and really see them grow. It was a wonderful time of fun, food, fellowship, and hard work! We want to thank you for your prayers over that weekend. There is no way that we could have done it without them.
We also have recently completed bagging food to be distributed this Sunday (the 21st) after church! We bagged about 35 bags of food which will reach about 60 people! We are so excited to continue this ministry.
How can you be praying?
- Please continue to pray for us to gain additional financial support. With the wonderful opportunity to live in the neighborhood which we work, comes an increase in living expenses. If you are interested in finding out more about partnering with us financially, please either click the give link in the column on the right hand side, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Please continue to pray for direction of our church, and specifically us as we search to see when and where to begin youth and children’s ministries.
- Please pray for us as we get ready to move into our new place! We are so excited but there is so much to be done!
We wish you all the very best and thank you for stopping by! We’d love to hear from you so feel free to leave us a comment, or email us at email@example.com! We hope you all have a blessed week!
